Husk Savannah is housed in a building dating back to the 1800’s and is a classic representation of Colonial Revival Architecture.
The Independent Room at Husk Savannah is a private dining and events space that offers the opportunity for a customized and exclusive Husk experience. The Independent Room occupies the third floor of the restaurant, overlooking Oglethorpe Avenue and the Independent Church of Savannah, providing an intimate and private setting. The Independent Room accommodates up to 24 seated guests for dinner and 36 for a reception.
Located at 12 West Oglethorpe Avenue in the heart of Savannah’s Historic District, Husk Restaurant reinterprets the bounty of the surrounding area, exploring an ingredient-driven cuisine that begins in the rediscovery of heirloom products and redefines what it means to eat and cook in Savannah, Georgia.
Like the décor that inhabits the historic building, the food is contemporary in style and interpretation.
One of the South’s most decorated culinarians, Chef Sean Brock won the James Beard Best Chef: Southeast award in 2010 and was nominated for the James Beard Outstanding Chef award in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.At Husk, there are some rules about what can go on the plate: “If it doesn’t come from the South, it’s not coming through the door,” says Brock. The resulting cuisine is not about rediscovering Southern cooking; instead, it is about exploring the possibilities of the coastal Georgia foodways and Historic Savannah.
